Kyle’s yard kicked my ass.

The yard was a mess. I mowed it once with the deck all the way up. Raked that. I then dropped the deck to the proper height then raked that. Then a final pass with the mower to hoover up all the stuff the rake missed. I finished at 5:15. There’s still some trimming to do on the outside of the fence but it’s close to two lanes of traffic on a busy street during rush hour. It can wait.

My walk-behind power mower is busted. For some reason the drive wheels (in the front) won’t stop spinning, even when I let go of the spring loaded ‘GO FORWARD’ handle. So pulling the mower backwards is a chore, not to mention those drive wheels pulling out turf. I gotta fix it before I mow anything else.

My 3-In-1 leaf blower/vacuum/mulcher is busted. The flexible plastic hose between the power head and the wear-it-on-your-back bag for collecting whatever I vacuum up. Well, that hose now has a few cuts in it, right where the hose connects to the power head. So when I vacuum, some of the stuff blows through those slits and up towards my face. Very pleasant. Tape should fix it for now, maybe permanently. That hose can’t be replaced separately, I’ll bet a replacement bag assembly would cost a fortune. It’s a Black and Decker, I’ve never been very happy with the purchase.
