Aug 11 (Sun) - Update
There’s a few things going on around here.
One of the regulars at coffee invited a friend to coffee. Long story short, he has always wanted to do Floatzilla but for one reason or another it never happened. He mentioned that finding a kayak isn’t easy when you’re more’n 6′6” tall. I offered the use of Kyle’s kayak since he’s not going this year.

So yesterday he and I brought the kayaks from Kyle’s place over to my place and rummaged through paddles and safety gear. Looks like he’s all set. Today, after he mows his lawn and I mow a neighbor’s lawn we’re gonna load up, drive a half hour north of here and put in at Lost Grove Lake. Kyle and I have been there twice. This’ll be a trial run before Floatzilla next Saturday.

So it’ll be a busy day today.

Yesterday, after coffee and moving trailers around, the doggos and I spent almost two hours at Vander Veer. The weather was perfect, the park looked like there wasn’t a blade of grass out of place. We were ready for naps after supper, that’s for sure, and that’s what happened.

That’s it for now, it’s breakfast then mow. Today’s weather is perfect for these sorts of things: a few clouds, light breeze. mid-70s. Cheers.
