Update – Nov 18
It’s been a few busy days. I’m posting before I forget.
It started with coffee. A large crowd, eight of us all in. It’s been quite a while since there were so many. Lately it’s four or less..
Anyway, I drove from coffee to the grocery store to pick up groceries, I got home just after 11. I said no to three dogs and carried a rake over to Kevin’s place instead of going to the park. The big oak tree in Kevin’s backyard is nearly done shedding leaves so it was time to get started on those.

Here’s what it looks like after an hour of raking. I stopped there and walked back home for la-zags, breadsticks, and a simple salad. I topped that off with some cinnamon crumb cake and then promptly entered snooze mode..
I faded in and out through two episode of The Outer Limits, so two hours gone. Kim and the terriers had gone downstairs while I was out. Willow and I got up, stretched, and headed downstairs.

Yesterday I had cut out two pieces of thick, heavy chipboard for extending the workbench. Today I assembled all the bits and pieces into a sturdy workbench extension.

I just looked at that picture, I need to put something across the back so stuff won’t roll off the bench back there. There’ll be small cubbies or pegboard on the wall behind the extension. Yea, pegboard. That’s the ticket.

Tomorrow is Sunday, I think composting is closed. I plan on vacuuming leaves into bags in the AM, spending time in the workshop in the PM. Hopefully I can avoid a mid-day snooze or at least keep it around an hour. We’ll see. Cheers.
